SUMMERSIDE, PE \u2013 A familiar face returns to Island racing while a hard-hitting pacer looks for redemption in the Tuesday evening feature at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.<\/p>\n
First race post time is 6 P.M. for the 13-dash presentation with the race 12 finale drawing the spotlight for a $3,650 top class on the lone program in Canadian Harness Racing Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Brookdale Johnny is the morning line favourite in the feature from post 5 for trainer Phil Sizer and Nova Scotia owners Douglas Sr., and Douglas Polley Jr.<\/p>\n
The five-year-old son of Rockin In Heaven made a name for himself last season with 10 wins and now continues his East Coast campaign after a pair of strong efforts over the Summerside surface since returning from Ontario. Driver Paul Langille is back aboard the 14-time winner.<\/p>\n
Braxtons Boy leaves from post 2 with Brady Sweet picking up the lines for trainer Richard Armstrong. The six-time 2024 winner has hit the board in his last three starts.<\/p>\n
Well Said Celeb has been racing razor sharp for trainer-driver Adam Merner as the Well Said pacer draws post 4 and looks to build off a third-place finish last week in Charlottetown.<\/p>\n
Sauble Attack (To be driven by Ken Murphy) is fresh off a front-end win in 1:57.1 for the Paul Biggar stable and has post 3. Post 1 belongs to Plain Jane (Corey MacPherson), who has been knocking on the door every start from the Devon Wallace stable.<\/p>\n
The Backstretch Beat pegs Brookdale Johnny as the top pick.<\/p>\n
\u201cBrookdale Johnny\u00a0has been facing the best of the best and now draws into a spot where he looms large. He paced 1:52 at Mohawk and was right there in the Graduate Series. Langille can put him wherever he wants and make the winning move when the time comes.\u201d<\/p>\n
Maritime native Austin Sorrie, a former finalist in the O\u2019Brien Awards national gala for Canada\u2019s Rising Star, returns home Tuesday night to take several drives on the Summerside program. While getting his start on P.E.I., Sorrie is now a regular on the Ontario circuit with a national leading total of 180 wins and over $1.1 million in purse earnings this season. The Montague born pilot is listed to drive in eight races on the Red Shores Summerside card.<\/p>\n
The curtain comes down in race 13 with a wide-open field of pacers competing for a $2,800 purse.<\/p>\n
Privilege has been assigned the trailing post 9 but has lots of back class to bring to the table for trainer George Rennison and co-owners Rennison Racing Inc., and Robert Tait. The Sunshine Beach gelding has 35 lifetime wins and gets David Dowling taking the lines as the morning line favourite.<\/p>\n
Veteran Flowersonthebeach (Brady Sweet) is making his second start of 2025 after being away from the racing scene since 2023 for trainer Jeff Wallace from post 6.<\/p>\n
Rail control goes to Century Invictus (Norris Rogers), who won the season\u2019s opener at Red Shores Summerside on May 19.<\/p>\n
