{"id":19194,"date":"2024-09-09T08:17:27","date_gmt":"2024-09-09T11:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redshores.ca\/?p=19194"},"modified":"2024-09-09T08:17:27","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T11:17:27","slug":"twin-b-tuffenuff-bests-preferred-pace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/redshores.ca\/twin-b-tuffenuff-bests-preferred-pace\/","title":{"rendered":"Twin B Tuffenuff Bests Preferred Pace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Nicholas Oakes For Red Shores<\/p>\n<p>CHARLOTTETOWN, PE \u2013 Twin B Tuffenuff won a Sunday afternoon Preferred Pace slugfest on a rescheduled program at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.<\/p>\n<p>The $4,500 Preferred Pace had race favourite Roll Em (Driven by Marc Campbell) move to the front at the 27.4 opening station and led through the next two splits of 57 and 1:26.3. Twin B Tuffenuff (Gilles Barrieau) was sitting fourth up the backstretch and made his bid first-over at that third quarter and battled to the wire to win by a head in 1:54.1 for owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown and trainer Ron Matheson. Roll Em was second best with Bee Two Bee (Jason Hughes) completing the triactor.<\/p>\n<p>Matheson and Barrieau also won earlier on the program with House Edge Hanover in 1:54.4.<\/p>\n<p>Driver Ken Murphy celebrated a driving triple with Heres To Art (1:58.3) in race 5 for trainer Clifford Murphy, Spack Jarrow (1:57.2) in race 10 for trainer Raymond White and Rymar Jimbo (1:56.4) from the Eric Doucette stable.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell had the hot hands on the afternoon as he extended his lead in the drivers standings for an incredible 15th straight season. The \u2018King Of Island Racing\u2019 hit the wire first with Phil My Beer (1:59.1) in race 1 then the two-year-old colts older full-brother Macho Phil was victorious in race 7 in 1:56.3, both for trainer Landon Campbell.
