The 2021 Gold Cup and Saucer champion pounced from post 2 to lay down a 27.2 opener followed by splits of 56.3 and 1:24.4. Final time was 1:53.3 with Howmac Charmer (Driven by David Dowling) second and Bacononabiscuit (Adam Merner) third.<\/p>\n<p>Woodmere Denny went all the way in the $3,050 race 11 feature in line to Dale Spence for his wife, owner-trainer MacKenzie Spence, in 1:54.4. The son of Rollwithitharry was a two-and-three-quarter length winner over Starship Glyde (Dowling) and Howmac Maximus (Damian MacLellan).<\/p>\n<p>Brookdale Johnny (Paul Langille) remains undefeated on P.E.I., after winning his third straight on the Sunday card. The Phil Sizer trainee stopped the clock in 1:56 for owners Doug Polley Sr., and Doug Polley Jr., of Amherst, N.S.<\/p>\n<p>Live racing continues Thursday evening at Red Shores Charlottetown with a 6 P.M. opening post time.
