Hughes had a banner season in 2023 with 180 wins and purse earnings of over $725,000.<\/p>\n<p>Also in 2023, Hughes guided P L Ozzy to victory in Trial Three of the Gold Cup &amp;amp; Saucer. Jason also reined Next In Line to Breeders Crown glory in the three year old pacing fillies division and was a winner with Tobins Chester in the two year old pacing colts division.<\/p>\n<p>Hughes was nominated for the O\u2019Brien Award of Horsemanship in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>In 2025, Hughes won his first Governor\u2019s Plate with Miki Shan N and set a CDP Track Trotting Record of 1:54.3 with Fight Song in the Island Oceans Trot Final.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jason Hughes began his driving career on Prince Edward Island in 1993.
